The Information Technology Technician II is responsible for maintaining the cyber security posture of the facility working with a team of System Administrators.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure various cyber security functions, such as ACAS scans and installing software and antivirus patches, are performed and reported as required

  • Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of computers and networks

  • Maintain familiarity with all applicable cyber security instructions and provide synopsis to management as required

  • Obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) for locally managed networks

  • Maintain copies of ATOs for remotely managed networks

  • Properly store and dispose of unused and obsolete classified equipment

  • Review Audit Logs for anomalies

  • Prepare written and oral reports as required

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with good driving history

  • Must have in depth knowledge of DoD cyber security requirements

  • Must have in depth knowledge of computer networks

  • Must have in depth knowledge of LINUX and Microsoft operating systems

  • Knowledge of DoD and commercial satellite communications systems preferred

  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy CMS program preferred

  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy 3M program preferred

  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy cyber security policies preferred

Required Experience

  • 1 years’ experience as a System Administrator in a DoD satellite communications or Tech Control environment required

  • Must have the COMPTIA Security+ Certification

  • Must have an active or in-scope DoD Secret level clearance or higher

  • High School Diploma or GED required
