POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic, highly organized,
dynamic professional to join our team. Our institution provides the highest

as a backup for the Controller. This person will be responsible for financial
accounting for the college, including backup for Payroll and delegate for
State Controller when appropriate. The position will be involved in
day-to-day accounting with functional oversight of records and reports. They
will also assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and
ad-hoc reports for the institution, and prepare various required State and
Federal financial reports. This position will designate a portion of time to
assist with the Foundation Financials, including the completion and
presentation of financial statements to the Board.
As an employee of, and the Colorado Community College System, this
position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and
all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all
student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any
suspected illegal activity.
Work with Controller to ensure that the Financial Accounting System operates
properly and provides timely and accurate information for administrative and
reporting use. Including the functions of accounting, disbursements,
payroll, cashiering, billings/collections, and cash control for all
funds and activities of the College. Perform the functions of an internal
auditor for the College.
Knowledge and ability to reconcile College accounting system with the Colorado
Financial Reporting System (COFRS) and prepare and follow through with
adjusting and correction entries where required.
Assist with year-end closing of financial records, including the calculation
and preparation of year-end adjusting entries and the preparation of
internally generated financial statements for the College.
Work with Human Resources, Controller, and Accounts Payable in the
completion of payroll.
In absence of Controller, serve as senior College accounting professional.
Complete training and certification needed to serve as backup Delegate for
State Controller, etc.
Assist in maintaining, overseeing, and managing accounting records for all
college funds in accordance with state fiscal rules, state statutes, state
procurement code, NACUBO, and GAAP.
Monitor grant expenditures and coordinate grant billings with Grant/Project
Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller and Vice President of
Administrative Services and Institutional Effectiveness.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree in Accounting or closely related field
3+ Years experience in accounting, data entry, administrative,
educational and/or customer service.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
5 or more years experience working in accounting or closely related field
Experience and knowledge with fund accounting and governmental accounting
standards and requirements.
Computer skills, data entry skills, multi-tasking.
Detail Oriented.
Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $50,000.00. The specific salary will be
determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate, internal salary
equity considerations, and available market information.
