Job Opening: Network Engineer

The Network Engineer is responsible for the following duties: [Install, configure and maintain cost-effective networks for next-generation battery energy storage systems (BESS), power integration and solutions. Provide innovative system design, controls, monitoring and network solutions. Take initial network design concept ideas and turn them into fully detailed construction ready designs in coordination with internal and external departments/contractors. Develop technical documents, including IP Address list, network communications diagrams, for BESS as well as for power plant substations. Support construction activities, field implementation, submittals and transmittals, as built drawings etc. Develop cost reduction strategies through innovations in systems and engineering. Job requires a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in any occupation involving Power System Design. • Configuration, Administration and Troubleshooting network devices: switches, routers, and media converters.
• Industrial Network troubleshooting (IP addressing, Network Switching, Physical connections).
• Development of network diagrams, submittals, one-lines and as-builts for power and energy projects.
• Development of technical documents, scope of work, BOM (Bill of Material)s, reports and scheduling.
• Energy power monitoring projects.
• Industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/TRU, BACnet IPO/MSTP and OPC).
• Working with vendors on the integration of Generators, UPS, ATS and PDUs into energy systems.
• Full Life Cycle Engineering Project Management: Project organization, commissioning activities, managing engineering resources, project closeout and invoicing.
