Job Summary

Performs a variety of duties related to materials management, including but not limited to: posting, maintaining master data lists, physical inventory, error resolution and research, purchasing, production planning and communicating with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for raw material inventory & inventory related data, i.e., purchasing, and inventory adjustments

  2. Communicates with Sales and Supply Chain for Production scheduling

  3. Adjust schedule as needed to meet customer demands

  4. Maintain accurate data in SAP and/or other related business systems, i.e., Purchase Orders, inventory levels, material information requests, MRP settings

  5. Analyze, investigate, and report issues with the finished goods and raw materials inventory.

  6. Interacts with other plants/warehouses to coordinate efficient use of raw materials.

  7. Accurately performs clerical duties, i.e., filing, transferring data, posting records, typing and computer input, purchasing of office supplies and equipment

  8. Communicates with TMC to schedule inbound collect deliveries

  9. Communicates and follows up with Vendors on incoming raw material purchase orders

  10. Process site bills and invoices through SAP

  11. Must follow all safety guidelines and support safety programs as presented by Master Builders Solutions and within the operating location. Must report all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to appropriate manager. Responsible for the safety of themselves and others. Utilize Management of Change (MOC) to assure timely communication and training of process related changes to affected personnel.

  12. Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and other ISO regulations, procedures, and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.

  13. May provide additional administrative assistance as needed, i.e. ordering group lunches, checking the mail, and other duties of that nature.

  14. Performs other duties as required.

Experience

This position requires an Associate Degree with concentration in computers (or related field) or equivalent work experience and three or more years experience with materials management in a manufacturing environment. Database, spreadsheet, and business system knowledge along with a working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
