Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Driver Heavy Vehicles 2 to join our Aerospace Systems at the CLEARFIELD, UT facility.

This position will operate vehicles over 10,001 lbs. capacity to transport tooling, material, hardware and misc. items on-site, between Local sites as well as off plant vendors. Operate vehicle up to 26,001 lbs. capacity to transport tooling, hardware, components, material, and hazardous materials between work centers.

This position will be for our weekend day shift Fri-Sun.

Position Summary:

  • This position will be at the Clearfield site, supporting various programs within the Transportation team.

  • Accountable for all aspects of safe operations of vehicle and equipment used in transporting company and government owned assets.

  • Organize loads to maximize delivery times and reduce waste.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma plus 2 or more years driving experience.

  • Active and current DOD Clearance

  • Must have a current Class A CDL with the ability to obtain applicable endorsements, such as Haz-Mat.

  • Shall provide a current MVR with zero moving violations in the past year.

  • Must meet all DOT pre-employment requirements.

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and work well with customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must possess the ability to read in-plant handling manual instructions including special tie-down arrangements and general and special safety equipment.

  • Eight-year driving transportation vehicles of up to vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 or its equivalent in on-the-job training either as a medium equipment or forklift operator.

  • Functional with basic computer functions including Word, and ability to operate mobile devices (iPad).

  • Knowledge of FMSR regulations and possession of a valid Class A CDL and Endorsements.

Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
