About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our core IT infrastructure and ensuring smooth operations for our users. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including system administration, user management with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, user support, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining an accurate computer equipment inventory, participating in environment enhancement projects and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to remote and onsite end-users in a timely and professional manner.

  • Installs, configures, and maintains computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.

  • Onboarding/offboarding team members including creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts various systems including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date inventory of computer hardware equipment.

  • Documents system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Stays up-to-date on the latest technologies and industry best practices.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1-3 years of experience in a desktop support role.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Experience with Zendesk.

  • Experience with FreshService.

  • Experience with SmartDeploy.

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).

  • General knowledge of Windows server administration (e.g., Windows Server 2019, 2022).
