Overview
Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a SF Senior Calendar Specialist based in any of our West Coast offices (Los Angeles; Menlo Park; Orange County; Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica; Seattle or Portland) to work with a team of dedicated professionals.
Under the supervision of the Director of the West Coast Calendar Department, the SF Calendar Specialist will primarily be responsible for calculating procedural deadlines and entering data into Compulaw, as well as providing litigation related support to case teams.
Responsibilities
Calendar litigation events in Compulaw based on review of court notifications, court rules, and attorney communications. Run reports in Compulaw and MyView.
Respond to questions from attorneys, paralegals and assistants regarding court calendaring, procedure and compliance with court rules.
Perform research on court rules, procedure, and case histories, as needed.
Act as liaison between attorneys and court personnel.
Track state and federal cases of interest through various applications.
Conduct searches for sample court filings, court records and dockets.
Handle attorney registration for electronic filings and Pacer and troubleshoot account issues.
Coordinate service of process and subpoenas; order certificates of good standing, transcripts and other litigation documents, as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum of 5 years prior similar related experience.
Knowledge of California civil court procedure and rules.
Proficiency with Aderant-Compulaw or compatible database;
Effective written and oral communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage high-volume workload.
Possess strong customer service skills and works well within a team.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel.
Experience e-filing documents and knowledge of e-filing platforms such as CM/ECF, TrueFiling, and Tyler Technologies is a plus.
Overtime may be required on occasion.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is:
California Major Markets $95,000 - $110,000
National $75,000 - $90,000
* California Major Markets includes San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica. All other California locations fall within National range.
