POSITION SUMMARY:

The Receiving and Inventory Coordinator will oversee the receiving of all merchandise, as well as the team of stockers for Nature’s Wonders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receives merchandise as orders arrive.

  • Oversees stockers regarding timeliness and accuracy of stocking and reporting information to the manager.

  • Assigns customer information (including name, phone number and date received) to all special orders then contacting customers to let them know the product has arrived.

  • Contacts distributors & manufacturers regarding damaged or missing items.

  • Handles recalled items.

  • Trains new stockers.

  • Cleans and organize warehouse space.

  • Keeps desk and workspace neat and tidy.

  • Packages & processes transactions for mail orders.

  • Assists with cashier and barista duties as needed.

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptability to new processes and procedures.

  • Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time.

  • The ability to move freely around your workspace.

  • Sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and climbing may be necessary physical requirements for this position.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :

  • Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
