JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties Remote Job: This is a remote position.
Selectees will work 100% of the time in a non-VA-owned space that may be
within or outside the commuting area of the agency. The employee\'s
workspace must be suitable for conducting business and as such, remote
employees are expected to provide a secure, distraction-free home-based
worksite with reliable high speed internet connectivity. The employee
will be required to travel to the closest VA Medical Center or VA
Outpatient Clinic for issuance of equipment, and as needed for technical
support. Selectees will be required to self-certify that their remote
workplace meets all safety, privacy and internet speed requirements. The

spectrum of people. The Trainer is the key position to train staff, both
as new employees as well as providing ongoing training. For this remote
position, salary advertised is based on general pay scale range and
actual salary will be determined based on location of selection. Duties
include, but may not be limited to the following: Provides different
types of training for various positions within the program. Provides
several weeks of new employee classroom training and reviews preceptor
shadowing to evaluate the application of learning and demonstration of
the proper response and use of resources. Responsible for ongoing (e.g.,
monthly, quarterly) in-service professional development trainings and
adherence to staffs required annual refresher trainings. Administrates a
pre- and post-test evaluation of staff learning. Develops training
curriculum, including the use of instructional tools ranging from
PowerPoint presentations, face-to-face trainings and e-learning
technology designed to keep staff skill proficiencies up to date and
compliant with program policy, which ensures the consistency of
performance. Develops training based on new research in suicidology,
crisis intervention or new requirements. Creates and maintains the
training plan in alignment with and compliant with program procedure,
