Position Summary
This position requires working knowledge of electrical standards and wiring of control panels from schematics and can wire VDC/VAC circuits with no supervision. This position will work with the Engineering leads during the design phase of a project and act as a liaison between the engineering team and the assembly floor.
Essential Job Functions (fundamental job duties)
- Participation with engineering leads in project kickoff meetings and design reviews.
- Participation with engineering leads in final review of electrical schematics before hardware release to purchase.
- Professional communication and guidance for operational processes and equipment.
- Interact professionally with cross-functional team members.
- Fully wire control panels from schematics.
- Wire 110, 220 and 480 V.A.C. circuits with no supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Assemble and wire control cabinets from schematics.
- Fully wire and assemble all machine components from schematics.
- Report out issues utilizing the project issues list, whiteboards, and project meetings.
- Ability to make labels on the Engraver Laser System with no supervision.
Marginal Job Functions (non-fundamental job duties)
- Possess good knowledge of assembly processes.
- Perform other jobs in the plant as required by the supervisor.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics.
Education (What is the minimum education level necessary to complete the essential functions of the position?)
- High School or equivalent.
- Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent in field experience.
Experience (What is the minimum years' experience necessary to complete the essential functions of the position?)
- Minimum three years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Mandatory Qualification Requirements (What are the mandatory qualification requirements for the position?)
- Ability to read all electrical prints/schematics as well as necessary functions related to the electrical assembly of specialized machinery.
- Good knowledge of electrical standards (size of conduit and junction boxes, wire gauge, etc.).
- Knowledgeable and understanding theory for proper operation of machine functions.
