Job Opening: Sr. Database Administrator

Design, administer, upgrade and maintain large Oracle database in HP-UX, IBM-AIX and Linux environments with Oracle RAC/ASM. The specific duties include: (1) Perform physicaldatabase design, database space needs and growth analysis; and load data from flat / XML files to temporary tables in Oracle database using Perl, SQLPlus and SQLLoader; (2) Create,maintain and refresh required instance for development, test and production; (3) Monitor security breaches, error logs, database / log space, user activity and resource utilization; (4)Perform SQL coding and assist developers with PL/SQL procedures including areas of functionality and performance; (5) Manage database structure, storage allocation, table/index androll back segments, constraints, database access, roles and privileges; (6) Design and implement effective hot backups using RMAN / recovery strategy for database / archive logs / logicalbackups; (7) Create different types of indexes and partitions on different tables; (8) Monitor objects / events throughout the database using TOAD and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to maintain peak performance; (9) Perform database import/export to transport various objects, changes and updates across environments using DATAPUMP; (10) Coordinate with Linuxsystem administrators for OS patches / servers maintenance; and (11) Write complex Linux Shell scripts to manage and automate Oracle environment and application process.
