As the cybersecurity landscape evolves and new threats emerge, we are seeking a Senior Security Awareness Specialist to develop and disseminate educational campaigns around this crucial area. This individual will work closely with our information security, learning and development, communications, and executive leadership teams to ensure that all associates are informed of the latest trends in cybersecurity. There will be particular emphasis around the unique threats faced by the senior leaders of a large financial technology firm. The ideal candidate brings knowledge of the cybersecurity field, a passion for research, and the ability to share information with a wide variety of audiences.

This position can be based to work from any Jack Henry office or remotely from any US location.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Develops, implements, and manages comprehensive security awareness programs to educate Associates up through Board of Directors about cybersecurity risks, policies, and best practices.

  • Creates engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, videos, quizzes, and other resources, to effectively communicate security concepts to Associates at all levels.

  • Develops and distributes security-related communications, newsletters, and alerts to keep employees informed about emerging threats, security incidents, and policy updates.

  • Fosters a culture of security awareness and accountability throughout the organization by promoting positive security behaviors and recognizing employee contributions to cybersecurity.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including technology, human resources, and compliance, to ensure alignment of security awareness initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Leverages cybersecurity knowledge to develop realistic and relevant security scenarios and simulations for training purposes to enhance effectiveness.

  • Utilizes expertise in cybersecurity to identify and prioritize security risks that should be addressed in training and awareness programs.

  • Stays up to date on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and incorporates relevant information into security awareness materials and training sessions.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on security awareness matters, providing guidance and support to employees and management on security-related questions and concerns.

  • Monitors completion of required training by Associates to ensure compliance.

  • Collects and analyzes data on security incidents and training effectiveness to inform future security awareness initiatives.

  • Monitors and analyzes security awareness program effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and assessments, and continuously improves program content and delivery based on results.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in information technology.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity.

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering security awareness programs in a corporate environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% for meetings and training events.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field preferred.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or other equivalent cybersecurity certification preferred.

  • Experience with learning management systems, e-learning platforms, and other training delivery mechanisms is preferred.
