Heartland Credit Union is looking for a detail-oriented and results
driven Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in financial analysis, financial reporting, financial
planning, budgeting, all aspects of the asset/liability model, branch
profitability, and product profitability. The Senior Financial Analyst
will ensure all reporting requirements are accurate, complete, and
timely to help mitigate risks and build credibility within the
organization.

SCHEDULE
Normal office hours, Monday- Friday.
LOCATION
The person will work from our Support Center, located at 4000 North
Monroe in Hutchinson, KS.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
activities:
- Develops financial models and projections, manages budgets, tracks
allocated funds compared with actual expenditures, and makes
recommendations for adjustments.
- Creates reports for a variety of profitability analysis, projects
ROI, product margins, and other financial models and evaluations
that supports decision making of key stakeholders and Senior
Management.
- Assists with the administration and operation of the credit union\'s
asset/liability management and liquidity management practices.
- Maintains the organizations funds transfer pricing model; performs
analysis that supports pricing and capital allocation decisions.
- Analyzes market conditions and trends for opportunities and makes
recommendations to improve financial results.
- Assist in the management of the investment portfolio including
purchase, sales, and strategy analysis and recommendations.
- Completes miscellaneous financial analyses and reports as requested
by Senior Management.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of departmental reporting,
management reporting, board reporting and other reporting as
assigned. This includes meeting with various departments to
determine their reporting needs and also creating processes for data
collection where necessary.
- Records and reports decision making rationales, financial analyses,
and corporate actions to assist in future planning.
- Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provides superior service to our members.
- Pro-actively support and advance HCU\'s brand platform.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- CPA preferred but not required
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three to five years of similar or related experience
required.
SKILLS:
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects.
- Able to operate related computer applications and PC.
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Flexible and open to change.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver\'s license.
- Complete required screenings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to sit, stand, and walk. Standing for extended periods of tim e.
Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
