Salary:

$2,780.17 - $3,566.67 per month commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary:

The Program Specialist works under the general supervision of the Director of the Innovation Proving Ground (IPG). The Program Specialist entry-level duties and extend support to research, integration, experimentation, and testing activities. The Program Specialist will work with partners internal to the Texas A&M University System and external (e.g., Army organizations, industry, labs).

The BCDC – located on the 2,000-acre RELLIS Campus in Bryan, TX – is an ecosystem for agile technology development and service-member-inspired research. The BCDC is the result of a partnership between the U.S. Army Futures Command and the Texas A&M University System, TEES, and the State of Texas. The $200 million complex is designed to bring together researchers from U.S. universities, the military, and the private sector for collaboration, demonstrations, and high-tech testing of initiatives to help accelerate military innovation for our nation’s defense. ​

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring programs and services.

  • Plans and develops specialized programs such as conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings, and workshops to facilitate program goals.

  • Coordinates specialized program communications and marketing materials.

  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures.

  • Assists in the preparation, maintenance, and communication of budgets, special reports, and other documents.

  • Attends meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of assigned programs.

  • Supports IPG with travel, contract, inventory maintenance, compliance, procurement, and security support systems.

  • Supports all phases of IPG Operations (Plan, Prepare, Execute, and Report).

    • As required assists in range, data systems, and equipment integration, sustainability, and accountability.

    • Assists in the integration and support of student workers and interns assigned to the IPG.

    Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Registration, Certifications, and Licenses:

  • Must be able to gain and maintain a DoD (Department of Defense) security clearance.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, date and file management, and visualization applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgement.

    • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects between 10 to 20 pounds.

  • Ability to work outside in field conditions.
