Vice President of Services for People with Developmental Disabilities, Community Based Services (Health Home & CHBS) & Clinical/Medical Services (Article 31 Clinic & 29-I)

Job Summary

This position provides administrative supervision and oversight to the Services for People with Developmental Disabilities (SPDD), Health Home and Community and Home Based Services programs, as well as the Article 31 Clinic and 29-I services. Responsible for the strategic development of residential and community-based services while providing oversight and management assistance to program directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and directly supervise the Program Directors for SPDD, Health Home and the Clinical/Medical departments.

  • In collaboration with senior management, develop and revise viable models for each program reflecting service volume targets.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop strong systems, processes and protocols which promote accountability and compliance for our programs.

  • Review and analyze Federal, State, and local legislation to determine the impact on program operations and opportunities to enhance Abbott House’s services.

  • Develop key administrative staff through training, management, and performance reviews.

  • Represent agency at meetings of local government, state meetings, etc. and report findings to senior management staff.

  • Develop program budgets in conjunction with fiscal staff and program management team.

  • Lead union relations and negotiate collective bargain agreements

  • Apply for grants and new initiatives to enhance services and supplement existing programming through expansion.

  • Perform all necessary activities assigned to further the agency’s mission

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of OPWDD programs and services is a prerequisite and OCFS/child welfare programs is preferred.

  • A minimum of five years of overseeing Medicaid funded systems.

  • Ability to effectively work with various stakeholders to work with employees, board members, government officials, parents, and members of the community.

  • Ability to multitask efficiently with attention to detail.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities.

  • Experience using an electronic health care system to review and manage data.

  • Ability to work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $155,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
