JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The individual in this new position will be responsible for management of processes associated with personnel investigations and appeals handled by the Provost\'s office, including drafting decision and reviewing evidence, cross-office coordination, stakeholder communication, as well as analysis of trends, committee participation and other responsibilities for the Office of the Provost. Specific responsibilities include the management of records and hands-on, detailed casework associated with the Provost\'s decision-making role in employee and student (where applicable) appeals of Office of Compliance findings, Academic Staff Appeals Committee (ASAC) appeals and grievance recommendations, Hostile and Intimidating Behavior (HIB) appeals of findings, all Faculty Policies and Procedures Chapter 8 and 9 matters, and research misconduct matters that come before the Provost. Incumbent in this new role will manage sensitive matters, working under the direction and support of the Provost\'s Chief of Staff and the Vice Provost for Faculty and Staff Affairs. Work requires careful organization of prior records and current matters. The individual who assumes this position must have the ability to manage complicated, sensitive personnel cases, working collaboratively to resolve matters in an expedient manner. In addition to the responsibilities described above, the incumbent may contribute to campus-level process improvement efforts across a number of areas that touch upon their duties, including assisting in the development and delivery of training, and engaging in policy development and planning in collaboration with colleagues from a number of central administrative offices, as well as with those in schools, colleges, and divisional units. Other responsibilities related to these duties and to the administrative needs of the Office of the Provost may be assigned as workload permits.
