Sollmann Electric is looking for a skilled Electrical Designer/Drafter to work with our Design/Build Team.

*Primary Responsibilities: *-Drafting skills --Developing and designing building electrical systems. Complete electrical design drawings using computer aided design hardware and software.

-Responsible for producing building electrical system designs that are safe and logically well thought through according to the scope of work established for the project.

-Apply sound design practices to all aspects of the building electrical system including lighting, power, special systems, site layouts, one line drawings, etc. to meet the requirements of the project.

-Problem-solving skills -- Frequently revise drawings based on changing power needs or equipment.

-Communication skills -- Communicate with and respond to questions from engineers, estimators, project managers, and customers throughout the planning and design process

*Qualifications: *-Associate degree or technical school certificate in electrical drafting, electrical engineering, or similar degree/program; or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.

-Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.

-Ability to work with and apply basic electrical and mathematical concepts.

-Valid Driver's License

Position Type:  Full time

Desired Start Date:  Immediately

Hours Per Week:  40

Salary:  $20 - $30 per hour based on experience
