Description
We are inviting applications for a Tax Staff - Corporate role in our manufacturing industry located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves handling various financial and tax-related tasks, including state and local property tax, treasury responsibilities, and yearly 1099 preparation.
Responsibilities:
• Managing state and local property tax duties
• Carrying out treasury responsibilities
• Preparing yearly 1099 documents
• Utilizing accounting software systems for financial management
• Employing ADP - Financial Services for efficient operations
• Implementing CCH Sales Tax for tax-related tasks
• Utilizing ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for business process management
• Using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation
• Performing various accounting functions as required
• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Conducting auditing tasks when necessary
• Handling multi-state tax operations
• Performing state tax tasks as required.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate tax role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in accounting software systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of CCH Sales Tax
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding of accounting functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Previous experience in auditing
• Ability to manage cash activity
• Knowledge of multi-state tax and state tax regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus.
