The Sr Manager, Asset Protection is responsible for directing, managing and executing all Asset Protection programs within a regional market to achieve maximum shrink improvement and protection of company assets.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively across multiple geographical areas to manage and direct team priorities.

  • Effectively execute programs to aid in the prevention of inventory and controllable losses to meet goals of assigned locations.

  • Leverage AP tools and systems, including exception-based reporting, to prevent, detect and resolve issues of internal and external theft.

  • Identify root-causes of shrink and ensure effective execution of AP training programs and educational coaching within stores across assigned market.

  • Recommend appropriate shrink improvement strategies and controls in high shrink areas.

  • Support the planning, organization and implementation of operational activities regarding theft investigations.

  • Investigate incidents of associate safety and develop effective safety plans.

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with Regional Asset Protection Managers and ensure consistency in the execution of asset protection goals and objectives.

  • Gather data through system utilization and procedural auditing; compile facts and prepare findings and recommendations in verbal and written form.

  • Ensure the effective utilization of physical security controls in assigned locations to prevent and improve inventory shortage and ensure associate safety.

  • Recommend appropriate disciplinary action for violation of company policies.

  • Form positive relationships with cross functional partners

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of retail loss prevention/asset protection experience; minimum two years of supervisory experience with multi-store locations, preferably with a large-scale or specialty retailer

  • Demonstrated success with leading and developing asset protection professionals

  • Advanced knowledge in internal and external shortage controls and security systems technology

  • Demonstrated track record to recruit, select, train and develop associates

  • Ability to integrate asset protection objectives with enterprise and store operating model and objectives

  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Thorough knowledge of legal ramifications and procedures

  • Travel is required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
