Based out of our Ashland City office, this role is eligible to participate in our hybrid work program, which allows employees to work remotely up to two days per week. New employees in eligible roles can apply for this program after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment.
Primary Function
This is a key role in the centralized Transportation Team responsible for facilitating the movement of goods into our manufacturing locations and from our distribution centers across North America.
Responsibilities
Supervise the Freight payment execution team in a multi-plant environment
Develop expertise on SAP-TM rate table management and SMC3 pricing integration to support operations needs
Supervise a team that champions freight claim resolution and reporting
Perform analytical studies to evaluate financial impact on freight optimization and cost initiatives
Manage and maintain positive day-to-day relationships with internal & external customers
Work with cross-functional teams and other areas of the business to ensure full collaboration on supply chain functions and needs
Generate & Analyze KPI reports and provide corrective action as needed
Perform other activities and projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain management, or relevant experience.
SAP experience is highly desirable
3-5 years related experience
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in Transportation, Supply Chain Management
Strong analytical capabilities – Proficient with Excel, Word, Tableau, Power BI
Experience in high-volume, multi-site distribution with a solid understanding of TMS / ERP Systems highly desired
Knowledgeable in all modes of Transportation-TL, LTL, Ocean, Air, Small Package
Strong Communication / influencing skills capable of maintaining positive internal/external relationships
Capable of working cross functionally with other areas of the business and providing on-site support as needed
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
Years of Experience
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
2-3 Years of Supervisory/Leadership Experience
