(MCW). In the role of Financial Analyst Sr., you will beworking in
Pediatrics, performing advanced-level grants accounting and
administrative functions as an independent, autonomous business partner
to Department stakeholders. Purpose Performs complex financial and
business-related analysis, data manipulation and forecast preparation,
in support of and concerntration in a high volume of Grants & Contracts
in the higher education and non-profit sector. Serves as an important
resource for providing guidance and oversight related to the fiscal,
administrative, and regulatory management of grants and contracts.
Responsible for coordinating workflow to ensure compliance and deadlines
are met. Provides fiscal reports for control and management of the
Department of Pediatrics (DOP) financial affairs. Apply results of
analysis to produce recommendations for management and department
leadership. Primary Functions Administer Pre & Post-award grants and
contracts for the Department. Works with institutional stakeholders to
ensure timeliness and accuracy of all grants accounting and associated
adminsitrative functions. Analyzes past and present financial data and
estimates future revenues and expenditures, applying principles of
finance. Conducts financial analysis and reconciliation, analyzes Income
statements, and prepares accurate and timely reports. Generates
forecasts to analyze financial trends, funding resources and research
impact of decisions and ROI. Performs complex analysis of data and
identifies and communicates trends, data manipulation, and report
generation. Administers financial, statistical, and analytical projects.
Identifies and proposes solutions to inefficiencies and opportunities
for cost reduction. Investigates and resolves financial errors and
discrepancies. Develops, generates, and maintains monthly financial and
statistical reports for internal and external distribution. Prepares
annual budgets for greater than 10 individual business units as assigned
within the department, including projections of revenue and expense,
FTE, and Principal Investigator productivity measurements. Analyzes
monthly financial and statistical performance compared to budget.
Research variances and provides insight as to why they are occurring.
