Summary

This position is responsible for a wide variety of activities in the Export Commodity division of Tyson Foods. This position represents the company as point of contact to facilitate sales function execution for product shipped to various countries.

Responsibilities

  • Adherence to sales plan with shipping schedule to meet planned shipment volume at inland freezers and port freezers. This requires extreme accuracy for export documentation to ensure timely shipment and requires expertise in documentation requirements to meet import regulations.

  • Position requires daily decision-making resolution internally and externally to include reporting investigating and resolving quality problems working with internal logistics and product movement inventory accounting accounts payable billing and export sales and marketing departments.

  • This position will have daily direct contact with Freight Forwarders and Ocean Carriers over export documents.

  • This position requires expertise in a variety of areas including:

    International logistics - Communicating with Freight Forwarders and Ocean Carriers on Ocean Bill of Ladings generated and Customs Filing; Vessel/Container issues resolution involving USDA and documentation at shipping locations for timely product shipment and resolving issues with third party audits; specialized knowledge of Halal program with Halalco and Tree Order arranging staffing at each Halal producing location issues Halal certificates and maintain tree order tracking for team; legal documentation and communication with country in destination and Tyson corporate legal to ensure shipments meet specific documentation requirements; distribution center capacity utilization to optimize scheduled loading and appointment times; new customer OFAC research and consignee compliance and other duties as required.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor\'s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 3 plus years of experience.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills including MS Office suite. Experience with SAP Tyson 1 PPS preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Travel: Some travel is required.
