Overview

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to maintain the integrity of assigned portfolio relationships, including but not limited to, monitoring the status of and coordinating the review of financial information; general portfolio maintenance activities and documentation support.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties to maintain the integrity of assigned portfolio relationships as detailed below:

  • Work with the Portfolio Manager, Senior Credit Officer and Senior Loan Officer on coordinating portfolio reviews with Relationship Managers on a semi-annual basis, or as conditions may warrant.

  • Work with the Portfolio Manager on Financial Statement Tracking and Awareness, Annual Review Tracking and Preparation, and Coordination and Preparation of Loan Renewals.

  • Manage the financial statement request letters with Administrative Assistants.

  • Prepare covenant compliance worksheets.

  • Prepare Financial Spreads as needed

  • Work with Credit on preparation of Commercial Loan Approvals as needed.

  • Monitor upcoming maturities to ensure sufficient lead time for renewals.

  • Coordinate renewals and perform annual reviews with lenders.

  • Coordinate modification, extension and rate reset requests as necessary.

  • Coordinate risk rating change memos with Loan Operations.

  • Assist Portfolio Manager and Senior Credit Officer in Loan Review file preparation.

  • Assist lenders with general customer maintenance (inquiries, payment issues, track fees due, etc.).

  • Coordinate the imposition of penalty rates for non-receipt of financial information with Loan Servicing.

  • Review new loan/renewed loan reports to ensure that loans have booked as approved.

  • Ensure loans are added or deleted from the financial statement tracking database in a timely and curate manner.

  • Assist in review of loan documents for closings

  • Assist in coordinating schedule and creation of site inspection reports, including uploading to Loan Ops for processing & file maintenance

  • Assist with preparation and updating smartsheet reports

  • Assist in preparation of reports as needed for monthly meetings

  • Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

  • Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements; ensure that the unit and all personnel adhere to the same.

Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree in a business related field normally required; specialized banking education and training.

  • 3 to 5 years’ of commercial banking and credit department experience in a similar or equivalent capacity.

  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work with independently, prioritize and focus for an extended period of time.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of current lending practices and policies and commercial loan documentation, including preparation.

  • Good PC skills with a working knowledge of various software (including Loan Origination Systems).

  • Visual and auditory skills.

  • Knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
