The Payroll Customer Service Representative I assists field offices with payroll questions via the Customer Service Hotline and the Payroll Customer Service email inbox.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent customer service to field offices and co-workers regarding payroll matters, including payroll requests and questions

  • Manages the payroll customer service inbox and ensures that all requests are being responded to in a timely manner

  • Confirms that standard payroll forms are completed correctly

  • Monitors all requests and concerns within the ticketing system

  • Completes all duties with a high degree of accuracy

  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • One to three (1-3) years experience in Payroll required

  • Customer service experience, especially in a call center environment, is preferred

  • Excellent listening skills

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments

  • Ability to analyze personnel and payroll information and take appropriate action

  • Ability to function effectively as a team member and work with other employees, customers, and management

  • Excellent organizational/time-management skills, attention to detail, and follow-through to any outstanding issues
