Job Opening: Accounting Analyst

JOB REQUIREMENTS: WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Associate Accounting Analyst/ Accounting Analyst in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. Job Responsibilities Ensure compliance with financial/accounting controls. Perform closing procedures including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis Collaborate and assist with the preparation of forecasts and budgets. Monitor the integrity of the systems and general ledger transactions. Prepare internal and external financial reports. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, Sarbanes Oxley, and various commission reporting. Provide back up and rotation of responsibilities. Analyze large amounts of data and maintain complex spreadsheets. Utilize various forecasting, reporting and general ledger software. Provide communication related to financial statements, data requests and month end closing processes. Proactively improve processes and business solutions. This position requires working additional hours during certain times of the month. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related discipline is required. Preferred Qualifications 2 years\' experience in Accounting or Finance Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints Proficient in Microsoft excel The ability to learn and grasp new concepts quickly Attention to detail, strong initiative and results-orientated Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Experience with SAP general ledger or another ERP system preferred End Date: 06/05/2024 We reserve the right to modify the application deadline or discontinue accepting applications for any position if deemed necessary.
