SUMMARY
The Network Administrator will deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor
all active network equipment, ensuring seamless network operations.
Responsibilities include installing network devices, troubleshooting and
resolving network issues, applying patches and upgrades, and proactively
optimizing network performance. The Network Administrator is a key role
in Bergstroms IT department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\

- - Fully support, configure, and maintain and upgrade networks and
in-house servers.

- - Install and integrate new server hardware and applications both
physical and virtual.

- - Apply updates and administer third-party applications.
{=html}
<!-- -->
- - Ensure network security and connectivity.
{=html}
<!-- -->
- - Monitor network performance (availability, utilization,
throughput, latency) and test for weaknesses.

- - Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
{=html}
<!-- -->
- - Resolve problems reported by end users.
{=html}

- - Ensure backup preserves data integrity and provides recovery.

- - Define network policies and procedures.

- Specify system requirements and design solutions for new projects.
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability configure HP hardware physical and virtual servers,
switches, Wi-Fi.
- Familiar with Linux and Citrix.
- Experience with Microsoft Server 2016-2022, SQL, O365.
- Familiar with Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Experience with iSeries OS and DB2.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control,
and monitoring of server infrastructure.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- - 2 to 3 plus years experience in a network administration role.
