Labor Relations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements and maintains the plant’s labor relations programs and procedures

  • Ensures satisfactory labor-management relations and helps interpret collective bargaining agreements

  • Leads grievance procedures including arbitrations and assists all levels of management on labor matters

  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the his/her functional area of responsibility and capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments i.e. legal, compliance, worker’s compensation

  • Stay current on Federal, State and case laws changes and monitor labor law updates for changes that affect Human Resources

  • Conducts research on union related matters; analyze CBAs to develop interpretation of intent, spirit, and terms of contracts; serve on and represent management in labor contract negotiations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in unionized environment required

  • 2-3 years experience on Industry or other manufacturing setting

  • Strong communication and public speaking skills

  • PHR or SPHR preferred

  • Bilingual skills preferred

Salary range: $55,220-$92,173
