Materials Planning Specialist I

Job Description:

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Customer backlog review and analysis, daily shortage report review and strategy.

  • Approve purchases of non-franchised materials to support customer requirements.

  • Communicate component status effectively with internal team and external customers.

  • Process improvement implementation with cost/expense control, attrition management oversight and reporting.

  • Generate and/or contribute to out-of-box- solutions.

  • Manage the most complex customer engagements.

  • Build relationships with customers and work directly with them to increase forecast performance.

  • Held accountable to inventory performance based on defined metrics for assigned customers.

  • Review and make recommendations/changes to ensure achievement of company inventory turns goals.

  • Manage the more complex In-Plant Stores and consignment engagements to assure both adequate supply and maximum turns.

  • Manage excess inventory including concentration on slow moving and/or sludge.

  • Work with sales teams to suggest alternative supply chain options to enhance customer support to assure inventory management needs are met.

  • Provide data analysis on inventory performance overtime.

  • Support operations team in invoicing activities and systematic work.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree and 2-4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

  • Supply chain, inventory management, distribution, procurement, logistics, or business analytics experience.

  • ERP/MPR experience a plus.

  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

  • Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables)

Annual Hiring Range: $67,300.00 - $82,500.00 USD Annual

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer
