We are currently looking for a Production Planner to join our production team to support our variety of customers. Job Summary:

The Production Planner is responsible for planning, organizing and executing production schedules for the plant.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Under general direction, ensures the production schedules are current and sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfill customer delivery requirements.

  • Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.

  • Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labor shortages.

  • Maintains production scheduling recordkeeping in our system.

  • Ability to coordinate with suppliers to have raw material available for scheduled production. Resolves raw material shipment discrepancies/issues.

  • Ability to communicates and coordinate with suppliers.

  • May assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool and manpower requirements.

  • Excellent customer interface skills are critical to this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, experience considered.

  • 3 - 5 years' cross functional experience problem solving techniques within a manufacturing industry.

  • 3 - 5 years' experience with safety procedures.

  • 3 - 5 years' manufacturing operations experience.

  • SAP experience.

  • Inventory/Purchasing systems experience.
