We are currently looking for a Production Planner to join our production team to support our variety of customers. Job Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for planning, organizing and executing production schedules for the plant.
Essential Job Duties:
Under general direction, ensures the production schedules are current and sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfill customer delivery requirements.
Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labor shortages.
Maintains production scheduling recordkeeping in our system.
Ability to coordinate with suppliers to have raw material available for scheduled production. Resolves raw material shipment discrepancies/issues.
Ability to communicates and coordinate with suppliers.
May assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool and manpower requirements.
Excellent customer interface skills are critical to this role.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, experience considered.
3 - 5 years' cross functional experience problem solving techniques within a manufacturing industry.
3 - 5 years' experience with safety procedures.
3 - 5 years' manufacturing operations experience.
SAP experience.
Inventory/Purchasing systems experience.
