About the role
The Aerospace Assembly Technician (or termination technician) works on
the production floor, putting together a crucial and detailed part of
our product: the termination point, or where a cable ends. Youre turning
a bundle of wires and electrical pieces into a finely tuned, precisely
made cable (or set of cables) thats ready to use.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Full-cycle assembly of cables, including layout, soldering,
striping/crimping jacketed wire, insertion of wire into contacts,
tightening connecter assemblies, torquing, taping, banding, and
using adhesive to prepare the cable for sealing.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management
System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and
protective equipment
- Develop an understanding of the principles of continuity and
operation of test equipment
- Maintain a pristine and organized workbench
- Oher duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Ability to use measuring tools to measure lengths accurately and
precisely is required; certain responsibilities may require
precision to within 1/32 inch
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to assemble products according to verbal or written
instructions, or by following drawings/diagrams
- This position requires the ability to have color-correct vision and
clear vision at 20 inches or less (with or without the use of
corrective eyewear or a magnifying glass.
