POSITION SUMMARY
C.H. Robinson is seeking an Associate Category Specialist to join our Robinson Fresh division. This entry-level opportunity is designed to be your gateway into the dynamic world of supply chains. LOCATION
This position is on-site at our C.H. Robinson office in Sunrise, FL. We expect new hires to be on-site 5 days a week for the first 2-4 weeks of training. After onboarding, our hybrid work model of 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week remote gives you flexibility and choice so you can create a career that enhances your life.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Collaborate with category team members, actively sharing commodity and market information with the commercial team
Engage with suppliers to grasp insights into quality, yields, pricing, and production
Cultivate and enhance grower and supplier relationships, providing continuous support for performance improvement using data
Assist customers by thoroughly comprehending product specifications and order trends
Collaborate with the category team to ensure optimal alignment of supply chain with customers, effectively communicating packing instructions to suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Agricultural or supply chain experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Excellent relationship building skills with customers, growers, and internal teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Great attitude, with a desire to contribute, learn, and grow professionally
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, sometimes out of normal business hours
Attention to detail with high standards for work; a customer service mindset
