Overview
The Census/Billing Supervisor has a high-level understanding of the company's Census and Billing practices, internal databases, reporting tools, and policies and procedures. The Supervisor possesses a high-level understanding of all functions performed by Census Associates I & II and Billing Associates I & II and Census / Billing Leads. Responsible for ensuring census updates reported are processed timely and accurately, charges are entered timely and accurately, and that all necessary procedures are completed prior to invoicing, and statements are finalized, in accordance with contract and PharMerica's Client Billing Services Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities
* Supervise staff to ensure tasks are completed within timelines set by the department manager through maintenance and accountability.
* Supports and develops staff through one-on-ones, check-ups, and annual reviews.
* Works with Leads to identify associate's training needs and ensuring training/re-training occurs.
* Identifies associate's career path goals and works to encourage and develop towards success.
* Participates in implementation of new customers, conversions, and contract addendums.
* Interprets contractual documents to ensure billing is performed in compliance with all contract terms.
* Provide guidance on difficult and/or complex accounts.
* Responsible for managing a balanced workload and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Responsible to ensure the data integrity of alternate databases, including but not limited to Payer Code crosswalks, bed/room stations, facility specific details (i.e. Hierarchy Tool, Census Tracker, Share site).
* Reviews variances and write-offs submitted by staff for accuracy of information and sign-off approval.
* Ensures all Census documents are completed prior to invoice finalization, ensures all facility statements are finalized on the dates specified.
* Participate in month-end closing and audits, as necessary.
* Completes investigation of escalated inquiries on billed charges and acts in accordance with contract and policy; providing accurate and timely responses.
