Is responsible for shipping/receiving, correcting variances,
transferring and stocking of parts and supplies related to maintenance of all
RTD equipment and facilities. This is a safety sensitive position subject to
the rules of the RTD Drug and Alcohol Policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL:
Conduct self in an appropriate manner as a representative of RTD, working
effectively in a diverse environment.
Use of computer for receiving, shipping, inventory variances, and
transferring parts, components, materials and supplies.
Stocking shelves, stock rotation, restocking and stock relocation.
Use of computer programs for issuing parts and materials to a variety of
maintenance and office personnel.
Completion of Inventory Control documents and other related paperwork.
Research through use of parts manuals, microfiche or computer for required
parts.
Determining amounts of fluids on hand in bulk storage tanks and 55 gallon
drums.
Set up and maintain inventory in a ready state for use.
Return unused parts and materials to stock.
Physical parts inventory, including cycle counts, utilizing the computer
for data entry.
Loading, unloading, driving trucks for transfer of materials and vehicle
components (such as power plants, transmissions, brake packages and
hazardous material.)
Sorts and processes warranty parts and material.
Maintaining and cleaning of warehouse and other related areas.
OTHER:
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Driver's License (Commercial
Driver's License, Class B with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement) with
an acceptable record in order to work in the Central Warehouse Parts Clerk
position. (Central Warehouse Only)
Central Warehouse - Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT)
physical examination by obtaining a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate for a
minimum of a 1-year qualifying period and then maintain a current DOT Medical
Examiner's Certificate thereafter.
Not more than five (5) points assessed against motor vehicle record
(MVR) in the past two (2) years and not more than ten (10) points
on a seven year record as well as possessing a continually valid driver's
license for the past two (2) years. Also no DUI, DWI, or reckless

Experience working in an inventory/warehouse environment.
Knowledge of basic inventory/warehouse procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
Ability to handle workload effectively while paying close attention to detail
and prioritizing workload.
Ability to deal with multiple tasks while using good judgment.
Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
Ability to read and comprehend English.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Skill in use of the computer, data entry and keyboard usage.
Skill in performing basic math calculations.
Skill in performing stockroom and inventory procedures, including but not
limited to forklift, order picker and truck driving.
Ability to recognize basic mechanical parts.
Ability to safely lift or move 50 pounds and unload delive ies of heavy items
with or without assistance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of
those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to
stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to
grip, handle and feel including extensive use of a keyboard.
The employee is also frequently required to see, speak, hear, read,
write and recall. The employee is occasionally required to sit, bend and
kneel.
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and drive
commercial vehicles.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision and color vision.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed
to chemicals, hazardous materials and outdoor conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
