Job Title: Production PlannerDepartment: Production PlanningReports To: Director of Production PlanningPosition Summary:Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.About Us:Lab Crafters is the premier manufacturer of laboratory furniture systems, casework, seating, fume hoods, and custom solutions for the life sciences, biotechnology, and higher education. Our mission is to create state-of-the-art laboratory environments by providing innovative products and solutions tailored to support emerging and changing scientific processes and technology.Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent a plus3-5 years experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and/or SourcingPrior experience as a production planner in the industry preferred.Good understanding of the industry market trends and conditions.Exceptional organizational and time-management skillsStrong regard for product quality and safety standardsSharp analytical and problem-solving skillsMeticulous and diligentUnderstanding of VISUAL ERP, safety stock modeling, and forecasting a plus.Must be able to perform at a high level of accuracy.Must be proactive and engaging for continuous improvements.Must have a strong sense of urgency to service internal / external customers.Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to work as an individual contributor and a team player.Proficient in MS Office software suiteAPICS, ISM, Lean, or Six Sigma certification a plusAble to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time.Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.Tasks / Responsibilities:Review recently booked projects to determine the scope, commodity counts and plan for the long lead items.Update and maintain the master schedule adding, removing, and maintaining daily updates.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, finished goods, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Participate in scheduling meetings, provide input of improved or delayed lead times of critical suppliers.Align with key stakeholders to deliver on commitments, ensure we seek to improve processes.Proactively expedite orders to ensure we meet production priority commitment dates.Produce reports based on findings and performance of production.Provide expertise in being a liaison between departments to meet or improve delivery dates.Regularly view plant operations to gain understanding of products produced internally and key applications of purchased components.EEO STATEMENT:Lab Crafters, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
