Job Purpose and Impact
The Finance Director, Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures and Joint Ventures Center of Expertise (Finance Director, MADJV COE) will set the vision for the finance support model for MADJV projects from diligence through integration. You will serve as the subject matter expert and strategic partner for senior finance leaders on MADJV projects. You will lead and develop a high performing team of Finance MADJV experts. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams within and outside of finance and perform external benchmarking to drive continuous improvement in the support model and processes. This role offers a great opportunity to work on highly complex transactions in a fast-paced environmental while gaining a broad understanding of Cargill’s businesses and the finance organization.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and provide strategic direction to your global team on development and implementation of finance governance, policies, and processes over MADJV projects globally including:
Due diligence and integration/separation playbooks and checklists
Finance minimums and ongoing monitoring controls for joint ventures
KPIs and pipeline reporting
Use advanced knowledge of market trends and best practices to serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the organization on MADJV projects including benchmarking services offered by the COE with the market.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within and outside of Finance including Corporate Development, Integration Management Office, HR, Legal, and Tax to ensure successful execution of projects and drive continuous improvement of MADJV processes.
Build and maintain relationships with external due diligence and valuation partners.
Engage with senior finance leaders and other stakeholders to provide updates on deal pipeline, share diligence findings and escalate post-close issues as needed. Key stakeholders include Enterprise Finance Leaders, Enterprise Controllers, Corporate Controller, Finance Process & Technology Director, Finance Operations Lead
Administer performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement for your direct reports.
Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management for your direct reports which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and budgeting.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience
Proven experience leading finance activities on MADJV projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10 years of experience working on MADJV projects, supporting both finance diligence and integration activities
Experience performing accounting and finance activities.
Strong understanding of finance processes and organization
Experience leading a global team of experts.
