Consor is currently seeking an Roadway Designer to be located in our Phoenix, Arizona office. You will collaborate with a talented group of professionals in an open and friendly work environment, where personal and professional growth is supported and hard work is rewarded. In this position you will assist in delivering transportation planning, design, and construction services projects.

\ \ Responsibilities\ \

You will enjoy a wide variety of interesting assignments, including:

  • Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, methods, and solutions with moderately complex features
  • Performs basic engineering analysis, design, and detailing of project plans and construction material quantities
  • Uses computer-aided design and drafting systems to prepare working plans and detailed drawings
  • Makes or revises maps, charts, and diagrams
  • Inspects a variety of roadway, bridge, and water resources construction projects; assists in the preparation of construction progress reports and estimates
  • Uses computer programs to facilitate organization and accuracy of engineering calculations

\ \ Qualifications\ \

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training Certificate (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date)
  • Self-starter/takes initiative
  • Positive attitude/team player/able to accept constructive feedback
  • Valid drivers license and insurable driving record
