As a part of Chevron Midstream, Supply and Trading (S&T) operates Chevron’s global supply and trading business. S&T is the commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals (DS&C). Gas Supply & Trading (GSAT) applies its knowledge of commodity markets and transportation logistics in the natural gas markets to maximize the value of enterprise assets and enable the commercial success of Upstream and DS&C. GSAT Natural Gas sells natural gas to support Chevron’s North America Upstream (CNAEP) operations and purchases and supplies natural gas to support DS&C’s refineries, CNAEP operations and Chevron’s Power business. GSAT leverages their market knowledge and trading capabilities to capture commercial opportunities across the entire value chain through commercial functional excellence.

  • Primarily responsible for nominations and confirmations on assigned pipelines (intrastate and interstate pipelines) as well as backup responsibilities for others Major duties include but are not limited to the optimization of transportation contracts, storage transactions, and the sourcing of sales transactions

  • Track and interpret pipeline curtailments and operational issues using pipeline electronic bulletin boards (EBBs) or by communicating directly with pipeline transportation representatives, and relay issues or concerns to the Trading group promptly advising on potential impacts to deliverability and month to date imbalances where applicable

  • Daily balancing and scheduling of areas of responsibility in Endur

  • Prepare accurate and timely accounting month end close for areas of responsibility

  • Required to be in the office 3 days a week. Occasional need for weekend, evening, and holiday coverage on an as-needed basis

    Specific Knowledge Requirements: This role requires a solid understanding of natural gas scheduling particularly Permian natural gas pipelines and 5-10+ years of experience in natural gas scheduling, preferably in the Permian.

    Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent scheduling experience

  • Intermediate Excel skills required

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 + years of natural gas pipeline scheduling experience is preferred

  • Endur system experience is preferred

  • Experience in Texas Intrastate Pipelines are desired (AB, Whistler, PHP, Atmos, Oasis, KM Texas, KM Tejas, Enterprise, Oneok, Valley Crossing Pipeline, Nextera EFM, NetMex Hub, GCX, Enstor)

  • Experience in Texas Interstate Pipelines are also desired (EPNG, Transwestern, Tres Palacios)

  • Understanding of the EBB's of major interstate and intrastate pipelines as it relates to scheduling and confirming gas is also preferred

  • Must thoroughly understand transportation contracts and dispatch appropriately based upon contract entitlements, receipt and delivery points, and capacity avoiding any overrun or other unforeseen incremental transportation charges

  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced work environment with a team of traders and schedulers and to juggle multiple tasks to meet scheduling deadlines

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills who can quickly prioritize tasks effectively in order to manage workload efficiently and independently

  • Strong Communication, Interpersonal, and Collaboration skills are required. This job requires the candidate to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with traders and other schedulers to achieve daily goals and work as a team, and possess interpersonal skills necessary to build positive relationships, actively listen to others, and manage conflict resolution
