As a Logistics Lead you will:

  • Review team responsibilities as given by the Logistics Manager

  • Train employees on shipping processes and assist manager in cross training associates in different work areas

  • Act as a technical resource to shipping team to address and resolve inquires and problems and provide feedback to supervisors on recurring/major performance issues

  • Coordinate all aspects of the shipping process, including scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documents, and arranging transportation for outgoing shipments.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, particularly those related to the shipment of medical devices, and implement procedures to maintain adherence to standards.

  • Collaborate with internal departments, including production, warehouse, sales, and customer service, to prioritize shipments and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.

  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate records of shipments, including tracking information, delivery confirmations, and shipping-related expenses.

  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, and resolving any disputes or discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and equipment, coordinating replenishment as needed to support ongoing shipping operations.

  • Assist with other logistics-related tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in shipping coordination, with at least 5 years of experience in a shipping or distribution environment ideally with lead experience

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

  • Proficiency with shipping software or ERP systems
