Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials/MRO Service Manager to join our team and make significant contributions to the Catalyst program. As an integral member of our team, you will be pivotal in defining, operationalizing, and enhancing key processes to ensure excellence in customer service and operational efficiency. This role provides an opportunity to lead projects aimed at ensuring the highest standards of spare part availability and quality, while optimizing repair times, logistics costs, and inventory management.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization and Management: Design and implement effective processes for customer spare part order fulfillment, repair order management, warranty returns, and more, within the Catalyst program.

  • Inventory and Logistics Management: Oversee the management of spare part inventory, LRU rotable pools, lease engine operations, and non-conforming material handling.

  • Service Excellence: Spearhead initiatives to improve repair turnaround times, enhance logistics efficiency, and boost spare part quality and availability.

  • Inventory Reduction: Lead projects aimed at minimizing GE's inventory holdings without compromising service quality.

  • Demand Forecasting and Procurement: Collaborate with the forecasting team to accurately predict future demand for spare parts and lease engines, securing necessary approvals and ensuring timely procurement to meet customer needs.

  • Product Support Agreements: Direct a multifunctional team to outline PSA requirements, conduct vendor negotiations, and finalize agreements with necessary approvals.

  • Reporting and Communication: Provide weekly updates to leadership on project statuses and operational metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Extensive experience in Product Management, particularly within the aerospace or aviation sectors.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Reside in or willing to relocate to Wichita, KS

Desired Characteristics

  • Deep understanding of the spare part and repair business for business and general aviation.

  • Familiarity with FAA and EASA Part 145 quality requirements, as well as regulatory and quality standards relevant to aviation spare parts and repairs.

  • Insight into global shipping and customs protocols for aviation parts.

  • Proven expertise in project or program management, with a track record of successful execution.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and manage multifunctional projects.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

  • Proficiency in planning, documenting, and executing programs, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines and achieving objectives.
