Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Maintenance Operations Leader to lead all service operations activities in the US Western Operating Unit. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day management of regional staff supporting maintenance operations in the branches. This role will require approximately 60% travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of regional field operations managers, regional field engineers and service project managers

  • Partner with EHS managers on all safety requirements, initiatives and projects related to service mechanics

  • Lead with ideas on improving safety/field processes and implement best-in-class practices

  • Provide direction on matters of service operations efficiency, cost and other metrics to General Managers and RGMs

  • Collaborate with Labor Relations managers on union related matters and help resolve issues for/related to the service field workforce

  • Actively participate in union negotiations, grievances, etc.

  • Develop internal talent and partner with internal and external stakeholders to recruit external talent with a focus on enhancing diversity within field workforce

  • Meeting with customers to ensure obligations and expectations are achieved

  • Directing the performance of field maintenance and contractual service operations

  • Managing fleet vehicles for the field staff in the region

  • Managing the expenditure of labor and materials

  • Supporting and implementing NAA initiatives ie: PUI, Otis One, Rebel units, etc.

  • Partner with all functional teams such as HR, Union Relations, Legal to lead field workforce

Education :

  • High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience with leading a geographically dispersed team

  • Elevator industry experience is desired, but not required

  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills and leadership skills and be able to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment

  • Self-motivated individuals who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities

  • Candidates must have strong computer and technology skills, business acumen and a passion for customer service

  • 10+ years of experience in field operations, general management, or related fields

This role is a remote opportunity

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $205,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
