Job Overview:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an administrative position within
the Human Resources department. The additional focus of this position is
to support the propertys full-cycle recruitment efforts. The Talent
Acquisition Specialist job entails providing comprehensive
administrative support to the day-to-day operations of human resources
focusing on talent acquisition. The position will ensure all data
entered into the Great Plains system is compliant with all relevant
regulatory requirements and corporate HRIS standards and processes while
maintaining accuracy and completeness to execute new hires, rehires,
reinstatements, terminations, status changes, or pay rate transactions,
before final processing by payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in full-cycle recruitment activities including, but not
limited to, posting jobs on job board or website, reviewing
applications, and assisting with the Employment Center or Hiring
Events
- Conducts pre-screening of qualified online employment applications
- Coordinates interviews via phone or in-person to include any travel
arrangements if applicable
- Administers pre-employment tests to include drug testing as required
- Provides general administrative support such as preparing
correspondence, forms, and reports, arranging meetings, and
composing regular correspondence for the department
- Processes confidential reports and documents
- Completes and files electronic and hard copy unemployment claim
forms
- Manages sensitive and confidential matters related to employees
information and the data and files associated with each employee or
candidate
- Handles issues and inquiries in the unavailability of the HR
leadership team
- Ensures adequate reception or proper approvals on forms and enters
changes in the system
- Prepares paperwork needed to create new employee files and place new
employees on the payroll
- Handles the filing of all HR documents related to employees,
including performance evaluations
- Enters and updates a variety of data maintained electronically
- Must be able to meet with the public daily and be able to multi-task
- Reviews, notarizes and submits Illinois Gaming Board license
applications
- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements:(please ensure you meet the listed requirements

- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and
successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start
date as a condition of continued employment
- Bachelors degree with two (2) years of work experience inHuman
Resourcesrequired
- ORAssociate degree with four (4) years of work experience
inHuman Resourcesrequired
- Knowledge of the recruitment process is a plus
- Proficient computer skills to maintain databases, run reports,
design, and perform other HRIS computer operations as necessary;
thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong under standing of HR processes from education or hands-on
experience; Experience using Microsoft Great Plains is preferred
- Demonstrates skills in planning and maintaining composure under
pressure while meeting multiple deadlines
- Must possess a high level of maturity and the ability to maintain
confidentiality
- Willing to work various hours as needed, including weekends, nights,
and/or holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or
required
- Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and
maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain
in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for
this position.
