Overview
Overview: In summary, the position requires an experienced Air Force
(AF)/ Space Force (SF) well-rounded generalist with sufficient
knowledge and experience in multiple areas of Space Force operations and force
development to help SpOC develop new approaches and operate processes for
rapid force development.
Responsibilities
Must have extensive knowledge of the budget process for a DoD acquisition or
sustainment program
Provide classified budget execution management support within the program's
business management directorate
Engaging in the lifecycle cost management and resourcing cost estimating for
multi-year projects and activities
Managing the collection, validation and update of financial execution data
to classified budget execution databases and other customized organizational
decision-support tools on a recurring basis
Responsible for numerous recurring reports that track and forecast spending at
the program, project and component level
Modifying database queries and reports to meet analytical demands as required
Providing analysis, producing briefing charts, and generating supporting
documentation in support of a wide array
Conducting research, delivering program budget execution reviews, and
authoring senior-level memos and position papers on a variety of
technical/procedural/policy financial topics as required
Facilitating and supporting organizational Program Control functions;
conducting analysis of program spending and component requirements as required
to develop and maintain program-specific reporting and real-time decision
tools
Preparing, coordinating and transmitting funding documents from multiple
funding streams and appropriations to support program efforts across numerous
partner organizations
Monitoring major program-level contracts and provide data and/or
recommendations to support fiscal-oriented decisions
Providing key support in the development and implementation of a requirement
validation and prioritization process for the program office
Skills Required
Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in AF/SF DoD
Planning, Programming, Budget, Execution (PPBE)
Financial management/analysis experience in an Air Force or Space Force
organization to include budget planning and execution for an Air Force or
Space Force Space program office and or Headquarters highly desired
Analytical experience providing decision support and program advocacy
inputs/products to senior DoD management is required
Competency and minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite is
required
Competency and experience with SAFES, DEAMS, CRIS, and FM Suite systems
is highly desired
Experience with AF proprietary systems to include CCaR, DTS, DoD EDS,
DTIMS, WAWF, AF accounting experience is a plus
Competency managing and providing product/analysis support for FYDP
programming/budgeting (to include the AF/SF POM and OSD BES) is desired
Top Secret Security Clearance Required; Sensitive Compartmented Information
(SCI) Required
Salary range : $115,000 - $140,000/year, DOE
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering,
business, or the sciences.
