Job Title: Warehouse-- Sutherland, NE

Job Summary: --

This Position is a temporary position that offers per diem. Duties include but are not limited too: Loading and unloading freight shipments, tagging materials for proper classification, ensure proper storage for materials, and use a computer to log in materials or complete inventory verifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --

  • Control the issuance and accurate release for warehoused material and spare parts.

  • Unload and load freight shipments or deliveries and monitor for contraband.

  • Tag material accurately for proper material classification.

  • Ensure proper storage environment is achieved for materials.

  • Responsible for accurate verification of physical inventory.

  • Deliver material to other departments.

  • Transfer material to and from storage locations.

  • Housekeeping and general maintenance of warehouse and equipment.

  • Store material and spare parts according to material record information.

  • Responsible for shelving and retrieval of materials and their verification.

  • Incumbent is accountable for miscellaneous other responsibilities as assigned or required.

  • Must be computer literate and able to learn and use in a proficient manner software programs provided by NPPD.

  • Meet the qualifications of warehouse helper/apprentice.

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

  • Receive and ship freight via motor carriers and parcel freight.

  • Forklift certification is required.

GENERAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: --

  • Must have a forklift certification.

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign

  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above

  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas

  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age

  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders

  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises

  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces

  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
