Accounting Clerk  

Novel Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using QuickBooks and possess strong analytical skills. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for processing accounts and bookkeeping tasks.

Candidates must   be   a   citizen   of   the   United   States.

Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Melbourne, FL.

Primary Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.

  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and following up on outstanding payments.

  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.

  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.

  • Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with other ream members to support overall departmental goals and initiatives.

  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

     

  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.

  • Proven experience working with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
