JOB REQUIREMENTS: Do you have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with billing while assisting others? If so, Monroe County\'s Finance Department might have the job for you! We are hiring for a full-time Billing Specialist within our Human Services Department. Our Billing Specialist provides fiscal support by submitting medical claims to insurance companies and other source payers. This position holds financial interviews with consumers or guardians to verify eligibility and benefit coverage. The Billing Specialist prepares, reviews, and enters insurance claim information for claims submittal. This position also communicates with insurance companies about unpaid or rejected claims and rebilling. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will have four years\' of work experience in medical bookkeeping/billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, or private insurance. Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired and accounting software knowledge is helpful.
