About the role

The Service Truck Operator is part of the Surface Services team. He/she is responsible for operating service trucks, such as tampers, concrete mixers, 25-ton trucks, etc., required for surface services operations.

Essential Duties

  • Moving machinery with a fardier

  • Move cyanide trailers

  • Drive 25-ton truck during civil engineering work

  • Move passengers by bus between airport and camp

  • Diesel fuel distribution with tanker truck for fixed and mobile equipment

  • Support to airport operations for fuelling, de-icing and baggage loading/unloading

  • Site management of contaminated materials and shipment to treatment sites

  • Ensure proper operation of equipment through periodic mechanical inspection

  • Complete various daily and weekly logs.

  • Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly in terms of health and safety.

  • Keep the workplace clean and safe at all times.

  • Report all incidents/accidents to supervisor

  • Participate in ongoing training program to improve best practices

  • All tasks related to the performance of duties

Training & Experience

  • Vocational diploma in heavy machinery operation or more than 2 years' relevant experience

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license

  • Bilingualism, French and English (an asset)

Working Conditions

  • Work schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest

  • Éléonore mining site (return flights from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
