Description:

This position will report to the Assistant Human Resource Manager and is responsible for day-to-day Human Resource operations and activities supporting local and corporate initiatives. The HR Generalist will function as a first line of contact to over 375 employees at the Owensboro office and serve as a subject matter expert in areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to, HR transactions, Employee Relations issue resolution, systems and processes, benefits, recruiting and leaves of absence. The HR Generalist is responsible for staying current on all federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and regulations. This role will provide support to the Assistant Human Resources Manager and Owensboro leadership team. The successful candidate in this position will be required to work some off shift hours.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of HR experience, or a master’s degree in HR Management and two years of experience in the HR field, or at least seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education experience.

  • Experience with ADP Vantage preferred.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

  • Ability to work flexible hours.

  • Prior experience in production or manufacturing with exposure to large populations and various shifts are preferred.

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization employees and assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
