Description:
Individual will be responsible for managing all of the networking equipment inventory for our client's HQ in Santa Clara. Right now, all of the tracking is done through Excel, but we will likely move that to SAP in the next year or two.
Keep Track all IT hardware orders as soon as POs are released
Once shipments are received, arrange for pickup, or pick up the hardware in a timely manner , inventory , tag and store
When the request comes to ship the hardware to their final destination, grab the shipment, create a shipping request and drop requested parts to Shipping. Coordinate with the recipient and track until shipment received and confirmed by the recipient
For hardware that will be installed locally (within the Bay Area) assist the team or follow instructions to take the hardware to the destination, unpack, mount/Install, power up and have it ready for remote configuration.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT parts, along with locations/quantities/part numbers and be able to provide data at short notice when requested.
Maintain clean and organized IT storage rooms, IDF/MDF rooms with no loose parts, packaging materials etc, Take decommissioned hardware for safe destruction/disposal at the Applied designated location and document evidence of destruction for audit purposes.
Assist with Annual physical inventory and audit review.
Physical ability to lift 20 pounds.
