The Warehouse Manager will have full responsibility for overseeing all warehousing activities at Farmer Brothers branch warehouse facilities within their district. In this role, your primary objective will be to ensure the optimal utilization of facility space for efficient storage and distribution of finished goods and inventories across the entire Farmer Brothers supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Branch Warehouse, including activities related to Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, and Inventory Management.

  • Ensure facility upkeep and execute necessary capital projects to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Coach and train team members at assigned facilities on Farmer Brother's SOPs and Food Safety Policies (GMPs).

  • Schedule and assign employees, follow up on performance, and conduct regular performance reviews.

  • Ensure accurate completion of daily/weekly inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory count.

  • Achieve established KPI targets, driving continuous improvement initiatives for customer service, warehouse efficiency, cost reductions, and waste elimination.

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an optimal facility layout for efficient daily operations.

  • Participate in the recruitment process and ensure proper training and certification of new employees.

  • Foster a productive and safe work environment focused on accountability.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements, while advising management on necessary actions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. High School diploma + 10 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.

  • 5+ years of experience working with an ERP / Warehouse Management System (WMS) to execute warehouse activities

  • Ability to operate and certify operators on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Experience working in the food industry is a plus
