Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The successful candidate will be joining our team in an in-office setting, focusing on accounts payable and administrative duties. This role emphasizes the use of QuickBooks for data entry and invoice processing, requiring a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative experience.
Responsibilities:
• Enter accounts payable data into QuickBooks with accuracy
• Handle administrative duties to support the accounting department
• Maintain up-to-date records of all transactions
• Process invoices in a timely and efficient manner
• Resolve any arising inquiries or issues related to accounts payable
• Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate action for delinquent payments
• Process customer credit applications, ensuring all information is accurate and complete
• Maintain customer credit records, updating any changes as necessary
• Communicate with customers to resolve credit-related inquiries
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve accounting objectives and maintain financial security. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Strong data entry skills
• Experience with invoice processing
• Knowledge of QuickBooks software
• Previous administrative experience in a detail oriented setting
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
